Santa Baby

I know. Finding the perfect Christmas gifts can be hard.

Here’s a list of some things you can get this Christmas…

For Women

Bracelet (Apart)

I actually received this bracelet from my friends on my 18th birthday and I thought it was the cutest thing ever. I wasn’t expecting it but I’d much rather get something more meaningful like a bracelet instead of chocolates. To me it’s something I’ll have forever and it will always hold a special meaning to me. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

UV Nail Lamp Set (

Girls need to have their nails done! Going to the salon and having your nails done every two weeks can be annoying and costly. I have my own UV lamp and I find it so much more convenient to do my nails at home.

If your also buying UV light polishes and don’t know wha colors to get I suggest: Red, Burgundy, Light pastel pink, or sugar plum purple.

Dolce & Gabbana the one (Sephora/Douglas)

You will never go wrong with perfume, unless it smells nasty.

I also suggest Lancôme Midnight Rose. I tried it a couple years ago at the airport and I absolutely fell in love with it. I’ve been wearing it ever since.

I love watches! They’re the best go to accessory. There’s 2 types of people; glam and classical. If someone loves glitter and shiny things then I would suggest a watch like the one pictured below. You can find watches similar to this at Michael Kors or Swavorski stores.

If someone prefers a more classical look I would suggest getting a DW watch. I’m in love with them and I’m planning on getting one myself. They have such s clean look and you can wear them with any outfit.

For Men

Who doesn’t love getting socks for Christmas!!? I always get my little cousin and brother funky socks. This year I found a whole bunch of cute ones at H&M. My favorite ones had sushi on them!

Hat, Gloves, and Scarf (H&M/

These 3 things are a must in the winter.

I love when a guy wears a nice watch. Its simple yet classy. I like elegant watches but sporty ones are also a must. They match everything and they’re comfortable. I recently purchased a Lacoste watch as Christmas Gift and my friend absolutely loved it.

Quick Healthy Breakfast

Always start your morning off with a healthy breakfast. Oatmeal with fruit is always a go to quick and easy breakfast.

I almost never drink coffee. Instead I love a warm cup of green tea with a slice of lemon.

No More Junk Food

Sick of being Sick

Balancing school, work, and everything else going on in our life can be a hassle. Adding cooking into that can make things even harder so we tend to take the easy way out. Eating out, defrosting dinner, or eating junk food seems like the easy way out, but is it?

With everything going on within the last couple of months, moving half way around the world, starting collage, and working, I turned to grabbing food on the go.

Food on the go was definitely not a good idea. For the last month I’ve been sick. Stress, malnutrition, sleep deprivation were all apart of it. I experienced head aches, paleness, tiredness, fatigue, and a long recovery from illness like a cold. I felt like crap.

I was sick of being sick so I thought it was time for a change. I changed my diet about a week about ago and I feel so much better; mentally and physically.

To follow my new routine I made a new schedule for myself. I love schedules! They help me stay on task and organized. If you’re ever lost always plan it out. It makes life so much easier.

Cooking has become a big part of my schedule. I usually like making something quick and easy and chicken with rice and veggies is always a quick and healthy dinner choice.

Cooking Healthy for Dummies

Chicken Breasts:

  1. Cut off white fat and wash the chicken breasts

  1. Rinse all veggies
  2. Cut broccoli, carrots, pepper, and onion

  1. On a baking pan, place the chicken breast and throw the carrots slices, peppers, and onions all over.
  2. Take olive oil and pour it all over ( I only use a tablespoon)
  3. Instead of soaking the chicken in oil I squeeze fresh lemon juice all over the chicken
  4. Take spices and sprinkle all over (chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper)
  5. Place in oven until chicken is cooked
  6. Boil the broccoli and carrots until cooked
  7. Cook brown rice for 30 minutes or until cooked

If you need a sauce:

  1. Mix natural plain yogurt with 3 tablespoons of spicy mustard and squeeze some lemon juice into it. Also add whatever spices you like.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  1 Corinthians 6:19

August 2017-November 2017

I felt disgusting and tired of being overweight so I punched myself and lost weight, going from an XL to a Medium. Now I feel comfortable and so much happier and confident with my body:)

Sugar Cravings

Its everywhere

When it comes to sugar, you can’t keep me away from it. Knowing the awful side effects such as weight gain, higher blood pressure,  higher risk for diabetes, heart disease and cancer, I kept on having cravings for something sweet. No matter how hard I tried eliminating sugar out of my diet, I couldn’t. Everywhere I went, it was there.

Sugar is an addictive like Cocaine or Heroine . Scientist found that sugar stimulates the same pleasure centers of the brain as cocaine. Therefore, eliminating sugar will lead to withdrawal and cravings. When eliminating sugar don’t cut it off immediately. Instead start slowly and continue with a detox process.

When eliminating sugar, eliminate processed food such candy bars, ice cream, and sugary drinks. For example, I replaced orange juice with water, regular milk with unsweetened almond milk, and nutrition bars with fruit. Although fruit is the healthier choice, there is also a limit to how much you can eat. Fruit contains fructose causing fruit to have a high sugar content. Too much sugar in fruit cause an increase in belly fat which  increase the chance of type 2 diabetes.

Self Control

Self control is the hardest thing when overcoming an addiction. To avoid snacking and binging clean out your cabinets. Throw out any fake processed food and replace it with healthy organic food. Always have a bowl of fruit on the table. When you get a sudden craving grab a piece of fruit.

To avoid you cravings you can also find a new hobby. Hobbies include going for run, going to the gym, listening to music, or reading a book.

Staying organized and keeping a schedule also helps me with my bad eating habits. When I have a schedule I only eat when I’m supposed to. Usually after having a strict schedule for around 3 weeks, you will get used to your new lifestyle.

Helpful Tips

When going out with friends, going to a family function, etc., avoid sugar temptation by saying you have allergies. I learned this from my cousin and I find this very useful. I don’t only use this to stop my sugar addiction. You can use this in any uncomfortable situation. I use this when I’m out and offered alcohol. Saying no thank you I’m allergic will definatly get someone to stop questioning you.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
1 Corinthians 10:13
